Survey Research

We work closely with our clients to understand their challenges. How an organization communicates with the world determines its success. Our extensive experience allows us to design studies that provide research-based insights into effective communication using the full gamut of opinion research tools. While survey research is founded in science, its design is an art. We design studies to assess the full spectrum of research objectives:
     Attitude and awareness
     Behavior and tendencies
     Brand/image perception
     Customer/employee/member satisfaction

How a research instrument is designed determines the potential of the analysis. We know how to design a project to elicit maximum use of the data collected:
     Benchmarking
     Cluster analysis
     Segmentation
     Targeting swing opinions

    Tracking
     Message testing

We use a wide array of survey research methodologies:
     Landline and cell phone interviews
     Online
     Face-to-face
     Business/executive interviews
     In-depth interviews

Survey Research 101
Survey research has been around for almost a hundred years, but really took off with computerization. Over the decades survey research has become integral to all sectors of society, private, public and non-profit alike.

Technological developments over the past couple of decades completely changed the configuration of survey research companies. The creation and marketing of databases, along with computer-assisted interview modules resulted in the consolidation of  data collection in specialized companies that serve independent researchers (like us). There are still a few full service public opinion research companies out there that maintain an internal staff of data collectors - but they are rare.

The other big change in the survey research industry is the creation of computer assisted survey information collection software, of which there are many, e.g. Survey Monkey, Survey Builder, Checkbox Survey. Organizations now have the option of creating and managing their own surveys. Despite these services, it's not always an option to take on the responsibility for designing a survey, gathering the data and analyzing the results. Let us help you with those tasks. With twenty-five years experience, we know the pitfalls, we know what works. Visit our Clients page to get a sense of our breadth of experience.
